Bobovisca is located on the west coast of the island in the bay that separates the harbour and port Vicja. Bobovisca is characterized by a rich historical heritage of which we recommend you visit the Roman and Byzantine archaeological sites, the parish church of St. George, Church of St. Martin, and sites where various items and weapons from the fourth and fifth century BC were found. It is believed that Bobovisca has the most beautiful castle on the island, the one from family Gligo that dates back to the 18th century which was later converted into a summer house and in the courtyard has a stone table that was once used as a base for a wooden rod for pressing grapes. Residents of this settlement are mainly engaged in fishing, wine and olive oil production and tourism. The place is ideal for a quiet holiday away from the city bustle, and swimming is possible in the area called Bobovisca na moru and is approximately 1 km away from the village.
